We hope that you and your families are staying safe and healthy, and looking positively into the future!!! We are!!

We are excited to announce that we are accepting patients at this moment and we are ready for the time when Cancun will reopen its doors widely for tourists on June 1, 2020. We would like to use this opportunity to make you aware of the procedures we put in place to ensure the health and wellness of our patients, families, Dentics team members and our community. Please note that we are a dental office and we have followed the health and safety protocol COFEPRIS (Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios) for the medical facilities since the time we opened for business. Procedures listed below simply give us the additional layer of protection considering the current situation.

These policies are based on recommendations made by COFEPRIS, ADM (Asociacion Dental Mexicana), ADA and CDC:

  • Prior to your visit, as well as upon your arrival, you will be asked to complete a short wellness survey and consent form to better gauge the health status of your household.
  •  We ask that patients brush their teeth prior to coming to the appointment to eliminate the need to brush in the office
  • Most of our patients travel with companions or family members. With all respect, we will allow one companion per patient on the first appointment only. Please inform us about any delays and changes in your itinerary and daily activities. This will help us eliminate waiting time in the lobby, limit the number of people in the clinic at the same time, and ensure that all sanitations are performed in the units before and after each patient. For the same reason, we request your cooperation on the ongoing appointment scheduling.
  • Prior to entering the clinic, the patient’s temperature will be taken and recorded. Upon the guidelines recommended, anyone with a temperature above 38C (100,4F) will not be seen and will be rescheduled.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office and you will also find some in other areas of the office for you to use as needed.
  •  You may notice our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, brochures and photo books.
  • Prior to rendering treatment, we will ask that all patients rinse with a peroxide-based mouth rinse that has been shown to decrease microbial load in the oral cavity.
  •  We love all our patients as they become Dentics family members. Unfortunately, we no longer will be able to share handshaking, kissing or hugging until further notice as we used to in our culture. Neither is it permitted between staff members.

Cleaning

All the dental instruments, surgical and non-surgical, are scrubbed rigorously with swabs to remove any attached debris.

Liquid Sterilization

Liquid chemical sterilization involves a two-part process: 1. Devices are treated with a liquid chemical germicide (LCG). 2. The processed devices are rinsed with water to remove the chemical residues.

Autoclaving

Autoclaving is accepted as being the most effective and most efficient way of sterilization. Higher temperatures are important for more rapid killing of microorganisms.
